End of Rotation™ exams
Seven exams across clinical year, each with its own published blueprint. Season One maps every condition to the rotations that test it, so practice narrows to the one you are actually on.
The seven PAEA® exams
PAEA® publishes seven End of Rotation™ examinations and a blueprint for each. They are:
- Family Medicine — built. 594 conditions, 1,188 questions, 557 written at full depth.
- Internal Medicine — built. 412 conditions, 824 questions, 406 at full depth.
- Emergency Medicine — built. 513 conditions, 1,026 questions, 471 at full depth.
- Pediatrics — built. 363 conditions, 726 questions, 343 at full depth.
- Psychiatric & Behavioral Health — built. 72 conditions, 144 questions, 72 at full depth.
- Gynecologic / Sexual & Reproductive Health — built, listed in the app as Women's Health. 91 conditions, 182 questions, 91 at full depth.
- Surgery — not built yet. This is the one gap, and we would rather you read it here than discover it during that rotation.
Those figures are generated from the app itself, not typed by hand — the blueprint page breaks each rotation down task area by task area, with the exact weight the blueprint assigns to each.
Why the counts overlap
A condition is counted under every rotation whose blueprint tests it, because the blueprints genuinely overlap. Cardiovascular disease is examined in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine alike, so the same lesson is placed under all three.
That is why the rotation totals add to more than 950, which is the number of distinct conditions in the app. It is also the argument for one library rather than seven: you are not re-buying content between rotations, you are re-filtering it.
How a rotation actually works in the app
Set the rotation you are on and the date its exam falls. The app filters the library to that blueprint, works out how many lessons a day finishing on time takes, and holds that number steady through the day rather than letting it shrink as you tick items off.
Practice can be built from a blueprint section, from a whole rotation, or from the questions you have already missed. If your program hands out a syllabus, you can give the app the PDF and let it work out which lessons the exam covers instead of ticking them off yourself.
Then it carries into boards
Nothing is re-bought or re-imported for the PANCE®. The rotation you revised in month two of clinical year is the same library you sit down with before boards, with the work you already did on it still recorded.
What we are not claiming
These are not retired or leaked examination items, and nobody at Season One has access to live End of Rotation™ content. Questions are written against the published blueprints.
